2026 Arkansas Voting Checklist + Deadlines

  1. Find out if you are registered to vote. Check your Arkansas voter status here.

  2. Register to vote in Arkansas if you need to or update your existing registration if any of your information has changed.

    Deadlines: 

    • Mail, post-marked by: October 5, 2026

    • In-Person received by: October 5, 2026

  3. Make sure you have your ID/Voter ID with you. 

  4. The general election date is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Put this date on your calendar.

  5. You can also vote early from October 19, 2026 to November 2, 2026. Put these dates on your calendar.

  6. Request an Arkansas vote-by-mail ballot if you want to vote-by-mail.

    Deadlines: 

    • Post Received by October 27, 2026

    • In-Person, Received by October 30, 2026

  7. Return your absentee ballot by:

    • Hand Delivered by October 30, 2026 by 5:00PM

    • Post Received by November 3, 2026 by 12:00PM

  8. Find out where your Arkansas polling place is. 

  9. Be sure to take note of any accessibility challenges you might face. Arkansas does NOT have curbside voting.

  10. If you need some instructions or want a demonstration of your district’s voting system or accessible equipment, contact your Supervisor of Elections in your county. 

  11. Check out what a sample ballot looks like. If you did not receive one in the mail, most Supervisors of Elections have them posted on their websites.

  12. Arrange any transportation help you might need. Do this in advance, not on the day you need a ride.
